Invisalign Go
Invisalign
At Shire Doctors and Dentists, we offer Invisalign Go treatment which is a fast and discreet way of straightening crooked teeth. Invisalign uses a series of removable clear plastic aligners to achieve orthodontic corrections without braces. After a comprehensive consultation and listening to your wish list, your dentist will carry out a Invisalign assessment and advise you on the next step towards achieving your dream smile.
What is Invisalign Go?
Many patients may have a crooked front tooth they would like straightened. In those cases, full orthodontic treatment may not be required.
Invisalign Go uses a series of clear plastic aligners to straighten eight front teeth in as little as six months. These aligners look like thin, see-through mouthguards which sit over the top of your teeth.
How does Invisalign work?
If your initial assessment confirms that Invisalign treatment is right for you, your dentist will take 3D digital scan of your teeth. Invisalign allows you to visualise your treatment before you start, using simulation- This means there will be no unexpected outcomes and you can see detailed three dimensional images of how straight your teeth will look and how long treatment should take.
The scan result will determine the number of aligners, the cost and length of your Invisalign treatment. Two weeks later, your first set of aligners will be ready to take home!
These aligners are engineered to use the right amount of force in the right place at the right time. When you change to the next set of aligners, your teeth gradually move into position, following a custom treatment plan mapped out by your dentist. Every two weeks you will need to change these aligners.
Your custom-made aligners are virtually invisible, so most people will not even notice you’re wearing them during your teeth straightening. Wear your Invisalign clear aligners 20 to 22 hours a day for the best results, taking them out to eat and to brush and floss.
Living with Invisilign
Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible and removable so you can enjoy your food and feel comfortable in important occasions such as work or family events. The biggest advantage of Invisalign treatment is that -unlike braces- you can remove your aligner to brush and floss normally to maintain good oral hygiene throughout treatment
Retainers
After your orthodontic treatment is completed, or your clear aligner treatment is you will have a permanent retainer cemented onto the inner side of your teeth and you will be issued with a removable retainer to wear during the night, to make sure your teeth do not move back into their original position.
